Trout Brook Covered Bridge
Alna, Lincoln County. Built 2018, 47 ft over Trout Brook. A modern boxed pony Howe truss bridge.
The Trout Brook Covered Bridge stands at the Wiscasset, Waterville and Farmington Railway Museum in Alna, Lincoln County, Maine. It is a rare Howe boxed pony truss that originally served a Boston and Maine branch line in New Hampshire before being saved from destruction and restored. The National Society for the Preservation of Covered Bridges donated the structure to the railway, which placed it across Trout Brook in 2018 and laid track over it in 2019. At about 47 feet, it is a modern railroad covered bridge rather than a historic road crossing. It is not listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
