Bennett Covered Bridge

Lincoln Plantation, Oxford County. Built 1901, 93 ft over the Magalloway River. Also called the Bennett-Bean Bridge.

National Register Paddleford

The Bennett Covered Bridge carried Littlehale Road over the Magalloway River near Wilsons Mills in Lincoln Plantation, Oxford County, Maine. Built in 1901, it is a Paddleford truss structure resting on granite abutments. Also known as the Bennett-Bean Bridge, it saw heavy use from area logging trucks and was closed to traffic in 1985. The bridge was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1970. Today it is preserved as a historic site rather than a working road crossing.
