King Post
The Tappan Covered Bridge, also known as the Kittle Bridge, spans Dry Brook in the town of Hardenburgh. Built in 1906, the single span uses a king post truss and is supported by side buttresses typical of the Dry Brook covered bridges. It remains a small crossing in the Catskills. It is not listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
