National Register
The Hamden Covered Bridge was built in 1859 by Robert Murray across the West Branch of the Delaware River near the village of Hamden. It is the only covered bridge in New York to use a pure Long truss unaided by an arch or queenpost truss. The 13 panel span was rehabilitated in 2000 with a glue laminated bottom chord and a standing seam metal roof. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999.
