The Stone Mountain Covered Bridge stands within Stone Mountain Park in DeKalb County, Georgia, spanning part of the park lake to Indian Island. It was built in 1891 by Washington W. King, son of the noted bridge builder Horace King, and originally crossed the Oconee River in Athens. In 1965 the 151 foot Town lattice structure was moved to Stone Mountain Park and reassembled at its current site. The bridge is not listed on the National Register of Historic Places in its present location. It is a popular feature for visitors walking to the island picnic area.
