Built in 1891, the 96 foot span uses a modified queen post truss and is often described as the southernmost historic covered bridge in the United States. The bridge sits within a small park and rests on stone and concrete abutments. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976. Today it is preserved as a scenic and historic attraction.
