Madison County, near St. Charles. Built 1870, relocated in 1887 and 1977, 81 ft over an overpass. The oldest of the Madison County bridges, also called King Bridge.

National Register Town Lattice

The Imes Covered Bridge, also known as the King Bridge, is the oldest of the surviving Madison County covered bridges, built in 1870. It uses a Town lattice truss and originally spanned a brook before being relocated in 1887 and again in 1977 to its current site near St. Charles, Iowa. It now stands over an overpass and serves as a preserved historic landmark. The bridge is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
