Hurricane Shoals Covered Bridge
Jackson County, near Maysville. Built 1884, 127 ft over the North Oconee River. Burned in 1972 and rebuilt in 2002.

The Hurricane Shoals Covered Bridge stands at Hurricane Shoals Park near Maysville in Jackson County, Georgia, crossing the North Oconee River. The original 127 foot Town lattice span dated to 1884 but was destroyed by fire in 1972. A faithful reconstruction was completed in 2002 as part of the county park. The bridge is not listed on the National Register of Historic Places, since the current structure is a modern rebuild. It anchors a park that also features a pioneer village and picnic areas.
