King Post

The Forge Covered Bridge spans Dry Brook in the town of Hardenburgh south of Arkville. Built in 1906 by Salem Jerome Moot, the short single span uses a king post truss and is braced by buttresses on each side. It is one of only a few king post covered bridges in New York. The bridge is not listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
