Jackson's Mill Covered Bridge carries Kings Creek Road over Kings Creek in Hanover Township, northwest of Burgettstown and northeast of Paris. Washington County owns and maintains it, and it carries a 15 ton weight limit. Its World Guide number is 38-63-18. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on June 22, 1979. It is a different bridge from the Jackson's Mill covered bridges in Lancaster and Bedford counties.
The year of construction is unknown. Coveredbridges.net says the bridge may be named for William Jackson, who owned a mill in the area in the 1870s and 1880s. The bridge was restored in 2003.
Jackson's Mill is a queenpost truss. Coveredbridges.net gives a length of 35 feet and a width of 14 feet; Dale Travis lists 46 feet. It has vertical siding, four rectangular windows and stone and mortar abutments.
Dale Travis gives these directions: take Steubenville Pike east 0.7 miles from the West Virginia state line in Paris, then go north on Kings Creek Road 1.9 miles to the bridge.
