Spade Farm Covered Bridge
Built c. 1850 (sign says 1824), Town lattice design, 85.5 ft long.
Originally located on Old Hollow Road in North Ferrisburgh, the bridge was moved in 1958 to Sam Spade's farm to save it from dismantling after being slated for replacement.8 Though a sign indicates an 1824 construction, historians, including Richard Sanders Allen, suggest c. 1850 is more likely.8

Architectural Features: Town lattice design. Features period advertising on truss members.8
Cultural Significance: A unique example of preservation through private relocation. However, its private ownership now limits access to public funding for maintenance.8
