Visit: Between Townshend and West Dummerston on Back Side Road. Unique Design: Three-span structure - one Town lattice with arch, two kingpost trusses with steel rod reinforcements. Built: 1870 by Harrison Chamberlin. Parking: Good pull-offs near bridge. Photo Opportunity: West River views spectacular year-round. State Historic Site: Protected and maintained. Cool Fact: At 276 feet, longest bridge entirely within Vermont (Cornish-Windsor is longer but shared with NH). Nearby: Townshend Dam and State Park (swimming, picnicking). Local Tip: Less crowded than nearby tourist bridges, equally beautiful.
