Spanning Talladega Creek, the Kymulga Covered Bridge was constructed in 1861 and is 105 feet long. It is situated in Kymulga Mill & Covered Bridge Park, alongside the Kymulga Grist Mill (built 1864). Both the bridge and the gristmill were restored in 1974. It is one of only two covered bridges in Alabama that remain in their original location (the Waldo Covered Bridge being the other). The site was added to the National Register of Historic Places on October 29, 1976. The park has an admission fee and operates on limited hours; the grist mill is still operational on a small scale for demonstrations.
