History of Herline Covered Bridge
Herline Covered Bridge was built in 1902, making it the most recently constructed of Bedford County's historic covered bridges. It has served the community for over a century, providing passage over the scenic Raystown Branch of the Juniata River. The bridge was refurbished in 1997 and is owned by the state. Despite being closed to traffic since 1983, it remains well-maintained and accessible for visitors.
Architecture and Design
