The Haverhill-Bath Covered Bridge connects the village of Woodsville in Haverhill to a rural corner of Bath, crossing the Ammonoosuc River near its mouth. Built in 1829, it is a two-span Town lattice truss resting on stone and concrete abutments with a central stone pier. Its roadbed runs about 256 feet and the roof about 278 feet, sheltering framed entrances at both ends.

It survives as the oldest Ithiel Town lattice truss bridge in the United States and one of the oldest covered bridges of any design in the nation. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1977 and is now limited to foot traffic.
