Gold Brook Covered Bridge
"Emily's Bridge" - Stowe's haunted bridge
Visit: Stowe's famous haunted bridge on Gold Brook Road. Ghost Story: Emily supposedly jumped after being jilted on wedding day in 1840s. Paranormal Reports: Scratches on cars, ghostly woman in white, unexplained voices, cold spots even in summer. Built: 1840, single-lane, still in daily use. Parking: Small area but gets crowded during "ghost tours." Best Ghost Hunting: After 10 PM (respect nearby residents). Daytime Beauty: Gorgeous even without ghosts - classic Stowe scenery. Safety Note: Bridge is narrow with active traffic. Nearby: Stowe village (5 min) has restaurants, shops, hotels. Halloween: Extremely popular in October - arrive early! Skeptic's Take: Beautiful bridge worth visiting regardless of ghost beliefs. Photo Tip: Full moon nights most atmospheric.
