The Flume Covered Bridge spans the Pemigewasset River at the Flume in Franconia Notch State Park in Lincoln. Built around 1886, it is a Paddleford truss about 50 feet long and 21 feet wide, with a hiker's walkway along its north side. It is one of the oldest of the state's covered bridges and a highlight of the popular Flume Gorge trail.
Set among the boulders and cascades of the upper Pemigewasset, it draws heavy visitor traffic in the White Mountains and is open to foot traffic within the park.
