Creamery Covered Bridge
Explore the historic Creamery Covered Bridge in Brattleboro, Vermont—the town's last 19th-century covered bridge. Built in 1879, this 80-foot Town lattice truss once served local dairy farmers and now stands as a cherished pedestrian landmark over Whetstone Brook.
The Creamery Covered Bridge, officially listed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP reference No. 73000202, added August 28, 1973), stands as a proud testament to Brattleboro's rich past, being the town's sole surviving 19th-century covered bridge. Located in West Brattleboro, it formerly carried Guilford Road across Whetstone Brook, just south of Vermont Route 9. Today, though closed to vehicular traffic since 2010, it remains a popular destination for pedestrians, photographers, and history enthusiasts.
